Another exciting day.  Trying to stay focused on work but find my mind is drifting elsewhere.

Keyword: hedonistic

  1. If you do find the cure for this - could you share, please.

  2. I seemed to have misplaced the mathematical formula. Perhaps J will chime in.

  3. Where are you drifting to? Do you have a secret hideaway?

  4. This post has been removed by the author.

  5. Since you asked I would start with Pareto's Principle better know as the 80/20 rule.

The "vital few and trivial many", the principle that 20 percent of something always are responsible for 80 percent of the results. The 80/20 Rule means that in anything a few (20 percent like work) are vital and many(80 percent like hedonism) are trivial.

This should serve as a daily reminder to focus 80 percent of your time and energy on the 20 percent of you work that is really important. Don't just "work smart", work smart on the right things.

Or did I get that backwards??? hedonism 20% and work 80%, wait there must be an equation for that...

  6. I'm no mathemetician but I think hedonism has a greater weighted value...?

  7. I knew J would have the proper formula.

I wish I did have a secret hideaway kitten, however that might not be such a wonderful idea.

Jz and it has its own allure.

  8. Heh... welcome to my world. My mind can never stay where it's... what was I saying?

Well anyway... there's nothing wrong with focusing on the joys and pleasures of life anyway. Sometimes it can get you through the drudgery of the work day.
