Put on a Happy Face

By Wednesday mouse was feeling a good deal better (so much better that she canceled the doctor appointment for later that day, with Daddy's blessing although he didn't mask his displeasure). In the evening after dinner mouse was on the phone talking to Lucy about menu ideas for the dinner next month. Fifteen people have confirmed (one has a guest they're bringing along). We were pouring over possible recipes when Daddy came into the sun room. Quietly, mouse got off the phone, he asked if the baby was in bed, then rather unceremoniously unzipped his fly and told mouse to spread her legs. He entered her quickly and completed almost just as fast, then fixed himself and returned to work in his study.

For a while, mouse just sat there almost stunned by his indifference -- inside the bathroom, mouse looked at her flushed completion, smoothed her hair, reapplied her lipstick. After cleaning herself up, she retuned to the sun room and tidied up, putting the cookbooks away. Then she went into the study. Being still mouse wasn't acknowledged. Did he even know she was there? Honestly, when he got up, turned off the light and walked out of the room, mouse wondered. Then he popped his head back in, and said "rituals...now."

Upstairs mouse undressed, washed her face, brushed her teeth, flossed and Daddy applied the clamps. The clover ones. He told mouse to lift and drop her breasts several times then get into position and meditate. The meditation didn't come easily to mouse that night. Later, in bed she was beside him and talked about how she was feeling....when she heard him snore, honestly she could have smacked him.

All week she's been working to make him happy and he's just been taking and taking from her. Even this party -- it was his idea -- wasn't it? Really mouse wasn't sure. Yet during the night, she woke, inched her way down him and took him into her mouth with pleasure and loved him as he slept. How can she love him and need him...
In the morning tho, he woke in a fine mood, holding mouse close...we made love, rolling about the bed. And mouse cried. While he can be just wonderful in a crisis, he doesn't really understand those tears, after spending a few minutes holding her then he got up to shower. When he left for work, mouse did all the normal stuff.

Thursday evening he resolved to finish our master bedroom closet, install the new light and shelves we bought a few weeks ago. He said that mouse should go out.  The end result looked great -- even if he did usurp more of the space that was supposed to be for mouse's handbags and shoes.

Later after rituals, mouse snuggled beside him and talked about the past week, somehow as she talked, she suddenly understood why he was so moody. He's always been mercurial and that will never change. So, mouse just left it saying she was glad to have Daddy back and she smiled when he pulled her close and told her how he loves her.

Do you ever want to ask him whats wrong instead of trying to figure it out on your own? Sometimes I will just say "are you mad at me" and when he replys of course not babe, why would I be I just wanna scream! Lol

Have a great weekend :)

Oh ya, sometimes mouse just needs to know, but sometimes she does just figure it out in an "aha" moment.

However there are times ... when even knowing its not mouse isn't enough. :-)

Thank you for answering that, I was wondering too, if asked would Omega tell you why. But even tho I ask H, he often doesn't want to talk about it and I try(really I do) to just wait it out and believe him when he says he'll be fine. It's so hard tho!!

I know EXACTLY what you mean! Sometimes you just want them to go back to their usual selves. Even when it's not me, I just want to still be able to fix whatever puts him in a faulty mood, things are right until he's happy and normal again, lol.
I wonder if they feel the same way about us, I'm thinking prolly not:)

I understand the not knowing is sometimes not enough comment completely

Oh it is so complicated sometimes. But I live those AhHa moments. I find it difficult to be ignored, though - that makes me crazy. Good luck with the party. Fifteen guests is daunting!!!!

Moodiness is daunting sometimes.

Sometimes he would, it depends on what's bothering him. If it's work he'll say generally it's work. If it's mouse he won't stew at all.

Now the recent issue. No, he wouldn't have said ANYTHING about it. Had mouse asked, call the reason she didn't her sixth sense kicking in, the question would have been ignored and met with an icy stare (most likely).

Genna,

Actually mouse thinks they do want to fix things just as badly. It just depends greatly on the reason. For example, if he says something completely thoughtless in a flash of anger, yes he will try to fix it.

Dancing,

Yes, not really knowing can be a problem....but when that silly light comes on and you realize it, well you're still grateful the light works.

Thank you Sir,

Yes is complicated, but with the aha generally comes a wash of clarity and it's very nice.

Yes 15 is the number. Ugh. Just a little too big for our table to stretch to accomodate everyone. That odd number is really driving mouse crazy.

Oh sin It sure is! REally tho, this time mouse should have seen it coming.

Next year mouse added a few cryptic notes on her calendar. :-)
