Good morning friends. It's a little rainy here, but the house is quiet, and her bottom still hurts a little if she sits too hard.
This image really spoke to mouse when she came across it months ago. There are times when mouse wonders about this thing we do. Not if it's good or bad, but how it's all balanced out. Friday, as mouse sat at the computer catching up with comments and her blog reading -- her bottom was hurting from the punishment meted out by Daddy on Thursday night.
Friday was busy for us, as all Friday's seem to be, but mouse carved out an hour to bring Daddy lunch. He's been busy with meetings, and she just knew he wouldn't have the time -- or rather want to take the time to eat properly. He liked the surprise but admitted he was in the middle of meetings, so he couldn't invite mouse to stay. There was hardly any expectation to, really mouse had to hurry home and finish her chores.
That evening though, Daddy came through the door carrying a bouquet of flowers. Much later, we talked about the punishment, after the house was very still. The whispers by candlelight. He asked to see her bottom, and ran his fingers along the raised bruises the cane left behind. When mouse remarked that it still hurt to sit, he chuckled and suggested that mouse kneel when possible.
Saturday, we did take it easy, lounging around the house -- it was very relaxing. Daddy went out later and picked up some Chinese takeout for dinner. In the kitchen, mouse was busy making a potato salad and apple pie to bring to a friend's house the next afternoon.
Sunday, we woke a little earlier than usual, mouse cooked an omelette for Daddy and we just rather relaxed until it was time to go to our friends for the Superbowl party. Daddy watched the game, drank beer and yelled at the tv, while mouse made him a plate of food and watched Frozen for the millionth time (all the girls outvoted loudly the boys). After that the kids watched Wreck it Ralph, actually mouse enjoyed that movie more, probably since she hasn't seen it. Between the movies the kids played in and out, and adults hovered around their food table nibbling on pigs in a blanket and the mud mixture.
It's always interesting. Daddy was happy about the final score. It was one of those times he really just sat back and enjoyed the game, because he was happy with which ever team won.
After the party, mouse helped tidy up a bit, because that's always the worst part. Then we all went home. By bedtime everyone was tired. In bed, we snuggled and he pulled mouse on top of him. "Ride me slave."
He didn't need to ask twice.

What is it with men and the need to yell at the tv lol, although the bossman is not guilty of this in particular, he does yell at the satnav!
Lovely image and words.

Hi mouse
Thankyou for your reply on my last post...I do to believe communication is the key...sometimes it has failed me but I am trying...

Thank you, the weekend was nice. :)
It was...and it's so much better when it's completely unexpected.
That image seems to encapsulate nicely what Daddy believes. :)
Sometimes it makes mouse tear up a little.
Thank you very much. :)
Thank you. Sometimes the love felt is overwhelming. But it's not a worry...he'll usually do something that might make her question it. Lol.
He did most of his yelling at the final few minutes. Actually think the whole country did. Lol
Thanks sweetie! <3
Oooh it's not a problem. :) glad it was helpful.
Hugs,
mouse
