You Only Live Twice

We arrived, we are unpacked and we had a ton more that we donated to charity after we arrived. Clearly we still brought more than we had room for. Except for, believe it or not, we have extra space in the kitchen. Go figure. Daddy took a few hours setting up the sound system for the tv the contractor installed. Then, spent a few more getting the sound just right.

Frozen never sounded better -- said no mother ever.

That aside, things actually went fairly smoothly. Thanks in part to Aunt Lucy and Uncle Schroeder -- we had to be on company manners. Ha! As if they've never seen us bicker as a Master slave and married couple. The piano arrived and works just fine. We arrived a couple days ahead of the movers and mouse was pleased with most of the work done.

Except the wall color in our bedroom....it's peach. Maybe mouse inadvertently picked the wrong color or maybe they did -- but that's not the color. It's just not a color mouse would ever pick. Daddy said too bad, we'll have to live with it. The color mouse chose was a pretty pale grey that would go with our comforter, furniture and everything else. It would also be very easy to work with. What the hell goes with peach?

Daddy told mouse to simmer down, or risk correction, so she pulled up her big girl panties and tried ignored it. The color isn't terrible -- once she gets some new bedding, it might be ok -- truthfully we needed some new bedding anyway. The bathroom is smaller than mouse would normally like, but since it'll be just her's alone during the week somewhat manageable. On the lookout for a vintage style vanity/makeup table small enough to fit in an unusable (read: wasted space) corner. That would free up the small counter, medicine cabinet and drawer for Daddy's things.

Still waiting for all this to feel normal and relaxed.

In regard to this space, while we're not fixated on keeping it up, mouse likes to think that she will update from time to time. So she refuses to say goodbye...maybe just adieu. Daddy just pointed out that the word does mean goodbye. So maybe just toodle-oo. That sounds cheery and light...and not at all final right?

To our dear readers, followers and friends we both would like to express our gratitude through the years. The cups of coffee shared, the laughter and tears that are all contained here. Thank you for not just following our journey but becoming an important part of it.

Perhaps, after some reflection, live long and prosper is a far more fitting way to close...

Your voice will be sorely missed. You are responsible for me realizing my faulty thinking where slavery to my Master was concerned. By sharing your story, I learned in a very non-judgmental way what slavery should be. I love the fact as you grew or became comfortable in your slavery to your Master your thoughts also evolved.

Thank you for the years you've given.

Hi Mouse, I haven't been around that long but it seems that you are making some really major changes in your lives right now. Might be the right time to hold onto this space for a bit; a familiar and safe place to carry you through some of the newness of life. Best of luck, whatever you decide. My hope is that you do check in. Amy

Peach makes a lovely foil for some dark smokey bluish gray accents and rich brown woods. I will miss you.

Adventures wouldn't be adventures if they weren't challenging, they would be just boring. I hope you have grand adventures and they are just the right amount of challenging. All the best to you and your family.

Oh mouse. When I read your latest post I felt so sad that you are moving on. Now that I have had much needed rest, I realized I was being selfish. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. I can't even recall how I stumbled upon your blog last summer. You have taught me to not be judgmental about how others live their lives.
Thanks for such a valuable lesson.

Wherever you are living, I hope your walls know only joy and laughter and your family experiences all the wonderful possibilities in this new phase. All the best. You will be missed here.

Dearest mouse,

You and Omega have been there for me for the last 8+ years.
You've opened up your lives to such an extent that floored me the first time I read your blog.
You and Omega were the first 24/7/365 that seemed real and workable to me. And in a way I'd always hoped could be done.
You've been there to answer my questions and to help me understand myself(finally)
I will be forever grateful that.
You've made me laugh and cry....and shared target finds with me. ;)

You will be missed, of that there is no doubt.

Please give Omega my gratitude for all my emails he answered over the years and helped me with, thank you.
And thank you for listening when I needed to vent. Both of you.

Health and lifelong happiness to you and your family.
much love,
monkey girl

Started reading this blog when I was 25/26. I am now 31. You have really been a huge part of my life and a refuge accepting my place as a submissive. I googled things trying to figure out why I am the way I am and up popped your blog. I learned so much. I wish you and your family huge blessings and peace. And if you return.... I will be waiting:)

Mouse,

I have been around since, well, really, before the beginning. I have followed your journey all along and consider you and Omega friends. I wish you both nothing but the best. I told Omega once that no matter what else you've done in this lifestyle love changes things. I am happy to know and not surprised it was for the better.
