And away we go

Good morning,

Daddy came home from a meeting in a foul mood, just a bad night for him where nothing seemed to be going right.  He went upstairs and emerged feeling a bit more relaxed.  When his mouse plated his meal and got together everything he could possibly want; he smiled but said nothing.  After dinner was through he picked up his plate, depositing it into the dishwasher and began washing a pot.  This was kinda out of character for him, normally he'd wait until everyone was done before getting up, but he was feeling quiet mouse supposed.   Daddy told mouse to finish eating and by the time she did, the kitchen was more or less tidied up.

Together we went into his study and he sat on the small sofa, picked a book and began to read, mouse settled at his feet and listened to the sound of voice.   He reads sometimes to settle his nerves.  Eventually he invited mouse beside him and pulled her close for a little cuddle on the sofa.   All too soon she could feel his mood lifting just a little bit.   It was nice.  Daddy apologized later for being so dull, but that was the thing, mouse really enjoyed it.
