The Lion Sleeps Tonight

While Wednesday morning was very nice, by afternoon the house was clean, or as clean as it would get. Daddy came home in a good mood, we ate dinner and actually watched a movie together. Then Daddy went into his study to work a little and mouse joined him after getting the kids settled for the night.

Daddy asked mouse some questions -- mostly having to do with her submission to him. Was she happy with his control. Of course! He remarked that he thought mouse was happy (he didn't say the word happy -- something else that mouse can't recall right now) but wasn't sure. It seems her blog posts lately have been short on feelings or thoughts about submission. It's something that mouse thinks about often, but they're more passing thoughts. It's more than rote behaviors, these things she does now are ingrained deeply into mouse.

When entering Daddy's study, mouse sits on the floor and opens her blouse. Being open to him is a big part of who she is now. It's not difficult for her and nothing she struggles with anymore. Seeing to his needs. We talk about many things, but lately the lifestyle stuff hasn't been in the front of our relationship...that's probably not fair. We were on vacation, then we were apart during the week while mouse remained at the coast with the kids. Pesky real-life getting in the way.

Being close to Daddy is the best part and mouse did tell him so. The truth is she wants to be perfect for him in every way. At that comment, he arched an eyebrow. And while mouse didn't completely retract the "perfect" remark she explained it. It's not about being perfect or reaching something unobtainable, it's just about the way it makes her feel -- deep inside. It feels right. So yes mouse is reading books on organizing and watching YouTube videos on ironing and stain removal and yes, she's ashamed to admit, cleaning...being better...

Gosh it feels so much in all this that there's some super slave or super mom syndrome going on. But really that's not it, when mouse is more organized the day goes much easier. Even when things go very wrong, it's so much better, because mouse doesn't fall apart. it really helps mouse to sleep at night too.

  1. Understand that completely, a more organized day does go much smoother and I do struggle with not being oragnized at times....luckily my days have been pretty laid out for me lately, even with time slots. This was irritating at first but it works well to keep stress levels down.

    1. Dancing,

Isn't it wonderful? Daddy, most days provides mouse with a short list of things to do. It helps so much, especially since mouse is already so challenged that way.

      Hugs,
      mouse

  2. Question: how far do you open your shirt for him? I love the idea but worry about mine munchkins - What if the kids came down or were around?
You know, it's funny how there is just this innate desire to be as pleasing as possible in all ways for your Sir and a huge amount of pride and satisfaction that goes with that.

    1. SirOsMLB,

The blouse is totally unbuttoned, but mouse does wear a bra :-). If kiddo does wonder in, there wouldn't be much to see. The blouse isn't pulled back and there's nothing brazenly displayed (unless there aren't any children home -- which almost never happens). There is a great sense of pride, because mouse does know it pleases Daddy. It's nice for us.

      Hugs,
      mouse

    1. Christy,

Oh goodness mouse started turning to YouTube when she needed help properly folding sheets. Found some great ideas...many offer step by step guides -- found a lot on cleaning baby clothes.

      Hugs,

  5. Lemon juice is amazing for the ease in which it cleans and removes stubborn stains and smells nice too....my mum told me years ago (back when i was living at home) but i wasnt really interested until i had kids and woke up to the realisation of how much stains were going to be part of my life!

I dont actually mind household chores too much as long as like you said im organised which im getting better at, my biggest problem was trying to fit it all into one or two days rather than spreading it out and prioritizing what needed doing when.

    have a good weekend

  6. Do you ever feel, mouse, when things become so second nature that you're missing something, should be doing more, are forgetting things? There are things I do, that I don't even have to think about now, even down to the way that I phrase things, and sometimes it feels that because it is less effort, that I am not where I should be. Daddy says that I make him proud every day, but for me it gets to the point I feel I should be doing more.

    1. Interesting question June...Sorry it's taken so long to reply. There are times, like when driving back home from somewhere mouse's head was so full of other things that quite frankly all of a sudden she'd be in the driveway and think...oh goodness...Daddy calls it driving on auto-pilot.

Lucy calls it becoming "one with your inner car." Whatever the point is that there are times you find yourself in the zone...it's almost meditative. And something that mouse when really thinking about it, finds it kinda comforting. It's nice. It's when Daddy pulls mouse out of the zone that mouse finds thrilling!

      Hope that helps,
      mouse

  8. I think it's nice when submission becomes second nature, I certainly appreciate the picture, an e-mail, a story that I don't have to ask for, but there is some thrill when I get to remind my Slut of her place. I think she likes the reminder

    1. Sir,

Well while mouse can't speak for everyone, this (sometime) slut loves the surrender part...

  9. I have to say I understand perfectly. I too have a much better day when it is organized. :) I hope to keep improving myself in that regard everyday little by little.
