Don't Look Back

Welcome 2013!!!!

It seems an appropriate song to begin the new year with -- don't you think? Last night, we attended a party with some great friends. Lots of food, music and dancing -- did mouse mention dancing? Oh yes! Daddy was in fine form and really it had been an incredible year.

The happiness just bubbled over perhaps in both of us. At one point he grabbed mouse and said, "woman dance with me." and it's funny because mouse squeaked. We left the party early and drove home well before the midnight hour. We both really wanted to be home. We kissed, popped a bottle of champagne and toasted the new year.

The past several days, we were delving into the heady subject of submission, not at all certain how the discussion came about. Perhaps, it began with a blog posting by any one of people mouse follows? In any event, after some pretty deep introspection and meditation she realized something about herself. Most people divide up their submission into one of two categories with maybe a bit of,bleed-over. Some feel they are bedroom submissives, they willingly hand over all control there -- but in other areas, not so much. Then there are service submissives who thrive on doing anything. They're the type who hover waiting to fill a need, maybe even before their Dom knows it themselves. What really, really gets mouse off is being controlled.

When Daddy ties mouse up, when she feels helpless -- the struggle ends and mental freedom begins for her. If Daddy gives her a command, oh goodness, it doesn't even need to be a directive, it could be a request. Instantly mouse becomes weak-kneed and wet. It's different than when she pours him a cup of coffee in the morning or sets out his shave stuff, or tosses a towel in the dryer for a few minutes so it's warm when he dries off. Those are nice things...but he doesn't ask for them -- they're not required. He knows where the cups are kept and he could certainly get along fine without the warm towel.

When he tells mouse to do something -- it touches something primal deep inside her that she can't easily explain, and when he demonstrates in some way, his control, oh....It can be something simple, no leaving the house without permission. Or don't "remove the plug until I tell you to." it's like the fuzzy blanket to her. It feels so safe.

  3. Oh mouse, I know just how you feel. I get huge amounts of pleasure from doing the little things that I know make BD happy...but there is nothing like a true "command" to make me just tingly and fluttery inside!

Happy 2013 to mouse and Omega! I hope this year brings all the best to you both!

  4. mouse - Glad you hear your had a Happy New Years eve.

You questions of submission gives me much to think about. What was once something I enjoyed thinking about, I now just worry that I don't get it, nor can I.

I DO however love being told what to do or to do something (anything really -either sexually, or something as simple as getting him a towel or his coffee cup from the kitchen) and while I sometimes fuss at my "H", I enjoy it on such a deep level inside myself, it is like something warm and fuzzy... It's something I want to explore, I just don't really know how to bring it together.
Craving the command, but scared of the loss of control.
Maybe 2013 will unravel a few things for me.

Thank you for continuing to blog. I do so enjoy reading.

  6. Happy new Year mouse and Omega

We went to a party last night, but alas no dancing..well not for me anyway...2 left feet!

Im not sure how i would define my submission, not bedroom only (not that im knocking that) i like serving him in menial ways, i guess more apt would be i like to take care of him, make life that little bit easier when i can.

Hope 2013 is a great one for you all.

  9. mouse: Happy New Year! As I began to read your writing here I was slightly surprised that you spent new year's eve with friends. Well, I've no doubt you are both sociable but I just registered that fact. Then, when you said you left early because you wanted to be at home, well, that made sense to me.

Your words here really resonate with me. I thrive on control as well. I process it as care. So, whether that is in the bedroom or in the garden or out in the big wide world, I like it. Quite simply, I enjoy that dynamic a great deal.

    1. Vesta,

Thanks for your kind words. And yes -- it's the controll it's like a lovely blanket. O isn't one for parties, mouse is actually kinda indifferent...but ya..it's odd -- we both had a wonderful time and enjoyed ourselves a lot. But yes, we wanted to be home, at midnight...it made it very special...

  11. The controls is luscious, it rather affects me the same way, especially the not so overt physical control, the mental control...I can feel myself sliding into that soft place, and I love it...something as simple as... Lovey, cut me a piece of pie when you get a moment....makes me positively week in the knees, yes he could do it himself, but he allows me to do it for him....yummy!

(((hugs))) and Happy New Year, mouse and Omega.
