Got to Admit

Things between us are good. Finding the right balance between family, work and well, mouse...it can't be easy for Daddy. There are times she just wants to do more for him. Is it possible? Yes! It completely is and needed so that all that clever balancing he does isn't just wasted on an ungrateful mouse.

The past week has also been extra hard on both of us. The big formal gathering, him being just too busy, and mouse...going a bit crazy allowing some pretty petty fears get inside her have all been resolved. Maybe it happens to everyone at times?  The party was a huge success and really Daddy was soo very proud of mouse.  Despite her craziness earlier pulled it all together...

It's for this reason, we did temporarily turn off all comments to our blog.  We needed to take some private time to realign ourselves and the baby wasn't feeling well.

There is a quote mouse has taped to her mirror that's attributed to Buddha, which reads, "Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment."
If the real Buddha said it or not, doesn't matter. it resonates with mouse.

In all relationships there are times where you just need to realign.  Like a car and it's tires...if the tires aren't properly balanced and aligned they begin to wear funny and eventually will need replacing sooner.

When you take the time to have them balanced and aligned properly some times you're shocked that the road wasn't so bumpy -- it really was just your tires.

All this and cannot believe March is nearly done!  Wow where did the whole month go?

Song Selection Getting Better; The Beatles

  1. Wonderful to hear mouse! So glad things turned out so well with everything! Love the song selection, well, I just love the Beatles - but still.
Getting better is a theme I'm looking forward to ;)

You are right when you say, that maybe the road itself was not so bumpy after all, but it is the tires. Yes! I'm in need of an alignment myself - perfect analogy when you look at the picture in a whole sense.

    1. Thanks Emi -- and it's hard when they're small and helpless...but try to remember it doesn't last forever.

  2. This is almost exactly what I was trying to write about last night -- unfortunately I let my "petty fears" rule me often instead of just trusting that Z will come back to me when the busy parts of life are "done" or at least are taking a break so he can focus on me. I struggle with being selfish....or serving him and then wanting to feel the security from him instantly

  7. Hi mouse and Omega,

I'm glad that the party went well.  You're much braver than I am - I wouldn't even attempt to host a party.  I hope that the baby is feeling better.  Happy Passover.

    1. Thanks for the happy Passover wishes. Really, a few years ago, no way would mouse had thought to do that either (host a big formal party)...guess she's come a long way. :)

      At least thanks to Daddy.

  8. Well done with the party, mouse. Good thing you are not married to me, I hate parties. When I was two, someone organized a birthday party for me. It was on board ship. I wouldn't go and threw a tantrum, lying on my face and screaming and kicking. I've been like that ever since, but the tantrums are quieter of course.

Are we supposed to hear music when I come to your blog? If so, something is wrong.

    1. Malcolm Sir,

Really mouse isn't a huge fan of social gatherings...they seem to a necessary evil one must endure. Lol

As for the music, generally speaking when mouse chooses a line from a song as a title for the blog, she will let people know at the end the song and writer/band whoever...So no, the music isn't actually on the blog...it's in mouse's head as she writes the post.

Hope that helps explain it. That said it would be totally cool to actually have the music on the blog! But it might become annoying too.

  9. I discovered your blog about 3 weeks ago. I've been reading it from the beginning and jumping around throughout, but always going back to the point where I stopped so I can continue forward. Your journey is amazing, and speaks so deeply to my soul. I've always felt that something was missing in my life, and seeing how you and Daddy found each other and how your lives were meant to be together... gorgeous.

I'm a professional musician, and I fully understand that music helps you express what words cannot. I just wish I had the words to fully express how I feel when I read your journey. The only think I can think of to help me express is my favorite piece of music. Edward Elgar's Variations on an Original Theme for orchestra ("Enigma"), Op. 36 Variation 9 "Nimrod".

Thank you so much, Omega and mouse. Your story has given me hope that someday I'll find my own Omega and peace.

    1. Pessa,

Welcome to our blog! That music piece you mentioned was beautiful, mouse went right away to search it out!

Thank you for deeply kind words -- Both Daddy and mouse greatly appreciated them.
