Monday

It just came around too fast.  The weekend just ended...like falling off a cliff.  At least it seemed that way to me.  It felt too short.  Unfinished business or maybe it should be unfinished fun?   Saturday I went to brunch with my girlfriends.  We drank too many bloody mary's.  Our bar bill was roughly twice what the food cost.  We did have fun. Instead of all of us getting into our cars after the brunch we decided to walk around down town (O agreed it was a good idea).  We ended up at Macy's.  When I finally got home it was almost time to start cooking dinner.  It's hard to cook when you aren't hungry, but somehow I pulled it off.  Saturday night we all watched The Ten Commandments, which I guess is a tradition for O.  When that was over O took me into the basement, and performed his Saturday night maintenance on me, my ass felt like it was on fire.

Sunday Morning I woke with myself wrapped up in his arms.  I'm kinda grateful the Easter Bunny doesn't stop at our home.  But at the same time I'm kinda sad it doesn't, I miss an OK to each chocolate for breakfast.

Sunday we just hung around the house.....didn't do much of anything.  I went to the grocers, wow...hold back the excitement.  Ya I know...

Today, it's back to the usual.  Hmm.  O has left for work and I should be working...

I'll hopefully have something more interesting to say tomorrow.

We don't make Easter a big deal either, but we do the secular thing of painting eggs and getting chocolate eggs from the Easter Bunny. It's something I grew up with, so I still like to do it, but the religious side is left out. We'll explain that to her when she's a bit older.

It's funny because a lot of the pagan holidays coincide with the Christian ones... although the pagan holidays follow the seasons, which incidentally are the opposite of what they are in the US. So we will celebrate Ostara in another 6 months, which is sorta like easter, except without the Easter Bunny. But we will paint eggs and all that fun stuff. :-D

Ya and let's not forget the Jewish holiday of passover.

I guess that's why each year they show the 10 commandments.

Yeah, I don't know much about the Jewish holidays, although I'd love to learn about them. I've never watched The 10 Commandments either... which version is it? The older one or the newer one (I think there was a newer one, wasn't there)?

Ya me neither really. The 10 commandments is the old one with Charleton Heston. I don't think they've ever done a remake of it specifically. They've done other versions like a cartoon I think...but they're always called other things.

Yeah, the cartoon one is Prince of Egypt. It's actually really good.
