Millions of Posts

Trying to play catch-up on the favorite blogs mouse follows. It's hard! There's been also many things that mouse wanted to blog about over the summer but just couldn't. No Internet connections and opportunity to post while floating in a boat on the lake -- just not a good time for blogging.

Daddy in the beginning had a hard time relaxing but eventually he did settle down and even stopped shaving a few days -- which was nice seeing -- because to mouse it's a huge signal that he's finally relaxing and not worried about maintaining appearances. We spoke a lot about the blog also -- mostly mouse lamenting about how hard it was for her to be out of touch. Daddy was right, the time did go quickly.

For now, this blog will be a place for mouse to discuss openly and honestly our Power Exchange and her unyielding submission to Daddy. There is no requirement that she post regularly or on specific days, as has been the case in the past -- just as the whim hits her.

There has been some controversy while we were away -- bloggers went private and some have since returned. Still it's also nice that so many bloggers rallied around and defended them. Hopefully soon -- when mouse and Daddy get a peaceful moment we'll update our sidebar and do a little blog maintenance.

It was very hard on mouse, especially being apart from Daddy during the week -- the first weeks mouse literally moped around like a grounded teen! Anything and everything drove her to tears. Then Daddy more or less punished mouse pretty good with corner-time snd enforced silence. He would also mark mouse kinda heavy on Sunday afternoons -- so those feelings of discomfort remained for days. Yes, now mouse feels kinda silly she made such a fuss -- actually she felt silly while she was moping and still allowed it to derail her. Stupid!

Eventually tho mouse did totally accept it and became intent on endless hours of baking, canning and having lots of fun. Friends snd Daddy's family wandered in and out -- so that gave mouse lots of distractions. The kitchen! Goodness mouse couldn't have it to herself -- everyone wanted to use the big stove, which was brilliant to cook on. We actually argued over who'd get to use it. Can you imagine grown adults behaving like that? Yet we did and if the request was refused -- people actually pouted! So cooking and cleaning up duties were shared.

When we had no one there, just mouse and the kids -- gotta say it was fun! Hugely so. We slept late, stayed up late counting stars and eating s'mores. We made our own ice cream, visited neighboring farms, and milked a cow....

Ya, the consummated city girl, milked a cow! Once. It's not as easy as it seemed on Little House on the Prarie -- so yes you'll have to just take her word for it.

There were a few moments of PTSD that reared their angry head in the beginning -- the isolating feeling was unsettling to mouse but she really did ease into it. There were moments of panic and Daddy helped mouse to meditate through -- it nearly made him tho insist that we all return home when his vacation ended. He was just that worried. But the kids were all so happy it seemed dumb to make them leave (although they did totally miss tv -- and would have been fine with it).

Sounds like you had a lovely summer!

I haven't milked a cow since I was a kid, but I clearly remember the lady who taught me how making it look soooo simple, and it really takes some practice.
Plus, bit animals make me nervous lol.

Do you think perhaps it was harder because you were out of your usual environment, and hence the discomfort was more intense than it would be if you was home and Omega was away?

is it good to be home and back to 'normal'?

My blog is (hopefully) only temporarily private. A security concern has arisen, and I thought it wise to make it invisible to prying eyes for the time being. I am hoping that we won't be off the radar for very long.

Welcome back to you both.

just wandering (didnt think i could possibly let you ease back into blogging gently did you? lol)

your mostlymouse blog, do you think you will at some point allow comments or is it just your place to put your thoughts down without others thoughts?

Had to be a good sport about that. And it's not something mouse would want to do all the time.

Once was enough...more than enough.

May I make a suggestion about keeping up with all those (literally hundreds) of DD and D/s blogs?

Since I'm a long term forum owner and forum advocate, I had the exact same problem with keeping up when, out of the blue, all these individual blogs began to spring up all over the place.

Find yourself a blog that 'follows' almost all the 'lifestyle' related blogs (mine might work if DD is a primary interest) in 'new post order' and visit it every few days to see who has recently updated their blog and whether the topic is something that seems relevant to you. That way you only have a manageable number of new posts to cope with and can usually find to make a few comments.
