Taciturn

I have been subdued of late.  Work concern, life and yes mouse have only increased seemingly my silence.  I do not put my life "out there" and not as comfortable telling all my innermost thoughts, the way mouse is.   However, she has only been gone a few hours and already I miss her presence.  Not only because of all the details she attends to, but for her smile, her laughter, the music she brings to my life.

I miss the noise of the house.  The sound of the music playing in the morning hours and the television in the evening.  The dog barking furiously at some unseen presence.   The laments of a child asking for attention are all absent.  I feel detached and disjointed without the lot of them.

I believe the needs of the many outweigh, oftentimes, the needs of the one.

I understand what you mean! When my family leaves for a few days, the first night or so is nice and restful. After that, I realize how much I am used to the chaos and noise, and how bored I am sitting there by myself. LOL!

I hope the week passes quickly for you, Sir. I know how lonely an empty house can feel... and I'm thankful I've never had to cope with it for more than a day. And I'm sure she misses you just as much... even with the dog and child to keep her company.

*hugs*

The love you have for mouse and your family is so apparent and so beautiful. Through reading mouse's posts I've seen the love you bear each other, and reading it here, from you has been very special. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings so openely and beautifully!

And yet you do it so well, when you do do it. :-)

I had just read Mouse's post about missing you, too, so very much, and started to wonder who those "many" were. Is it mainly because of A you want to have a summer and weekend getaway? Or does the wonderful time spent at the summer house when you are all actually together out there outweigh the weekdays apart?

Well, it sounds like a lovely house, very happily situated. I hope you all get used to the situation. Maybe the time spent missing each other will make the time together even more precious and intense?
